Bank of the Rockies has been serving Montana since 1883, back when their customers were ranchers, homesteaders, and gold miners. The 1883 Blend was built for that same crowd — the cup you pour before the work starts.

We roast it fresh in East Helena, Montana every week, using two different roast profiles that get blended after the fact. Dark-roasted Sumatra brings the backbone: earthy, syrupy, low acid, with cedar and dark chocolate. A lighter-roasted Nicaraguan cuts through it with caramel sweetness, soft citrus, and a clean nutty finish. Dark Colombian ties the two together with bittersweet cocoa and walnut.

The result is a full-bodied cup that drinks smooth black, holds up all morning in an airpot, and doesn’t get bitter when it sits. It’s the same coffee served in Bank of the Rockies lobbies across the state — now available to take home.
